Constipation and Remedies




Here we go and I am feeling glad to share you a common useful remedy to detox your body

 




Make a habit to drink this regularly. All you need is take a cup of warm water(slightly hot), squeeze half a lemon juice and some pieces of garlic into the drink.
And for better taste add honey. 
It actually boosts your immunity and acts as detox for your body and aids for the bowel movements and now you are ready to start your day effectively .
 
Constipation in western medicine 

Generally “Constipation” is referred as infrequent hard to pass bowel motions. And going fewer than three times a week . It is a common digestive problem in most of the countries. It’s not considered as a disease condition so far, though it can be a foundation for various fatal and chronic diseases such as Haemorrhoid (piles)
  • Some diseases like stroke ,Parkinson disease and diabetes can lead to constipation.
  • Symptomatic treatment involves the use of laxatives which are medicines that promote defeacation largely by reducing the viscosity of lower colon. Classified into: 
        1. Stool bulking agents
     2. Osmotic laxatives 
3. Faecal Softner
       4. Stimulant Laxative

Let’s go through the ideas about constipation in siddha and ayurveda view 🌿☘️

According to Siddha View:-

•Due to some behavioural changes of an individual those might be food patterns or daily routine .There is an imbalance in “Vata”   and “Pitta”Doshas.  

•Vata which is responsible for dryness in the body. Pitta is correlated with the digestion through Agnis of our body and building up energy . 
•This imbalance causes further variance in Kapha Dosha ,which effects the body’s balance (Swastha Awastha).

•The toxins which are produced in the body is circulated throughout the body and disturbs the proper functioning of the systems. It is called “Ama” -indigestion

According to ayurveda view:-

The excessive amounts of dryness in the body ,which means excessive Vata Dosha/Air element which results dryness of colon. That results passing hard stools.

Symptoms:-🧐

 1.Straining to pass the stools.
2.Flatulence
3.Incontinence
4. Sense that bowel movement was incomplete.
5.Feeling of being bloated up.
6.Stool are dry , pellet like, hard

Common Causes of constipation:-
• Food patterns-  Eating foods with low fibres.Fibres have soluble and insoluble fibre forms which actually absorb water within it and make easy to pass the stools. Excessive intake of coffee,tea,alcohol.
Milk might cause indigestion for some people in excess during constipation period.

•Stress- Causes slow muscle contraction of colon and delays urge to pass the stools.

•Activity- Less physical activity can build up heat within the body .

•Frequent usage of Vermox like worm treatment which causes adaptation this means constipation persists until you take this treatment . 

•Suppressing the urge to pass faeces and urine.
•Pregnant ladies often face constipation.
Prolong constipation may lead to:-
Sleeplessness, Loss of apetite,Headache,Fainting,Jaundice, Piles, Joint pain.

1.Consume more vegetables and fruits rich in fibres. Reduce the intake of meat which can elevate the heat in the body . Intake soup , fresh fruit juices, milk Mor.We have to consume 20-30g of fibres /day.

Fibre rich foods:- Beans,Cereals,Oats,Carrot, Brocolli,spinaches,Fruits like Mango,Wood apple,
Corn

2.Drink adequate amount of water- 2L/day. Increase fluids in your diet.

3.Make sure you properly pass urine and stools regularly. Don’t suppress the urge.

4. Practice exercises and yoga and increase physical activity -Sweating cools down your body. 

5.Proper sleep and reduce anxiety,stress,depression.
